Diversity Thrift and the Richmond Public Schools have partnered for five years to provide students with intellectual disabilities a safe and welcoming environment to learn real world jjob skills for competitive, long term employment through the Work Experience Program. The Work Experience Program (WEP) is a vocational education program to serve students with intellectual disabilities who attend Richmond Public Schools.

"When I was looking for new job sites to accommodate our students five years ago, I approached the manager with my request and his response was one I will never forget. He replied " . . . when can you start?"

With such a warm and open minded reception from a prospective partner, Diversity Thrift and its friendly staff have opened their doors and their hearts to our many students and Work Experience Program is extremely proud and grateful of our association."
